It took me many years to finally stop by one of the most beautifull castles in eastern Slovakia. Ruines of Spiš Castle are proudly standing on a travertine hill cca 200 metres above the countryside (634 meters above sea level).
Awesome historical sight remembers times of the Celts, Slavics and Hungarian Empire. At night it was covered by thick fog but fortunately the next day the weather was perfect and I enjoyed this beautiful place in a winter fairytale setting. Trees covered by ice and snow with nice sunny weather gave the Spiš Castle opportunity to shine from long distance with its famous skyline.
This panorama picture nearly cost me my phone because of combination of wicked driver and very noisy car horn 😉
