When you come to Slovakia in the autumn, there is one thing you can not miss. You have to taste the traditional food such as bryndzové halušky (cheese dumplings), sweet trdelník, great Slovak wine and local drink kofola. While I personally do not like the cheese dumplings I always prefer some different dish to offer foreign friends and visitors. Fried cheese, langosh or soups do not impress everyone and therefore I am glad I found another great option – goose feast in Grob near Bratislava.
There are 2 small villages with long history of breeding goose and no matter which one you choose, you will have a lifetime culinary experience both in Chorvátsky Grob and Slovenský Grob.
There are many great places and restaurants to choose from, we enjoyed the goose feast Gurmánsky grob and the food was awesome, staff friendly with tradional Slovak folk costumes and restaurant set in a very pleasant garden.
